Hello folks and welcome to the Political Corner!

I’m the moderator assigned to this section so here’s the way things are going to work.  All the rules Don had for this section will stay in place, I’ll list them below.  I will be in here on a daily basis, but I wont be around all the time.  I will need your help to keep this section running smoothly so please contact me via the Notes system if you see anything you feel is out of line.

This section has the potential to have some of the most informative and intelligent threads on the board, or it can have threads which are even more worthless than those in the lounge.  Of course things can also get nasty and that’s really what I want to avoid.  Keep the discussion about the topics, not about each other.  If threads wander a bit off topic that’s fine, but if you see things really changing direction just start a new thread.  

That’s about all I have for you, again contact me with any issues.  Below are the section-specific rules.

Any post that has unacceptable elements will be replaced in whole with a notice that the message is unacceptable. If you have posted the solution to world peace and included a personal attack, the solution to world peace will be deleted as well as the personal attack.

We will track the number of messages that must be replaced for each member of the community.  First ten messages, the member will be suspended for a day. Next five messages, the member will be suspended for a week. Every two messages after that, the member will be suspended for a month. If someone goes on a spree and enters twenty messages that must be replaced, that person is gone for two months and a week.

Particularly egregious offenses, like threatening physical harm or such, may get you suspended even sooner.

There are four classes of unacceptable messages:

Hate Speech Use of derogatory language towards any race, sex, religious group, or sexual orientation, or the suggestion that violence should be done to those members. You can argue the rightness or wrongness of a sexual orientation or religious group (\"Christianity is wrong because...\") but not slur the members of the group (\"Christians are stupid\"). Use of the term \"gay\" to describe something as undesirable will be considered hate speech.

Flamebait This is a post designed purely to upset people. An example would be \"Are Democrats smarter or are Republicans dumber\". If there is any doubt in the mods mind, it will not be considered flamebait. Unfortunately, the ability to lock threads is not yet implemented, so flamebait threads will be left unlocked. Responding to a flamebait thread with a message that includes flamebait or personal attacks will be treated as in any other thread.

Dirty Words You know the list. Even if you disguise the word slightly to beat the automated censor.

Personal Attacks This is the big one. You can call what a person wrote in a post stupid, but you can&#39t call the person stupid, nor can you say that everything the person writes is stupid. Do not attack someone else&#39s education, do not attack someone else&#39s intelligence, do not attack someone else&#39s moral character, do not attack someone else&#39s religion, do not attack someone else. If you are personally attacked and attack back, that is still a personal attack.

仇恨言论对语言使用含有任何种族、性别、宗教人士或性取向或建议,应该对这些抴力的成员. 可以说对或是错的宗教团体或性取向("基督教是错的,因为::"),但不实的团员("愊蠢基督徒"). 使用"同志"来形容不良将被视为仇恨言论.

我认为一个论坛的版规由两部分构成＊

适合所有论坛的不成文规定——如不挖老帖~

适合所在论坛的特殃规定——如不谈论会员性别这种无聃问题~（英雄都莫问出处了……是男是女真那么重要？）

规则是论坛创建者制定的~

作为论坛会员只有无条件服从~

因为这里是非赢利性质的民间论坛……

有些东西是防君子不防小人的~

想蓄意破坏论坛规定那么指定再的的所谓“规则/规定”都是徒僳~

规定不是针对某一人——因此当你觉得其他人都是异类时你自己才是异类~

呵呵，这可能就是西方式的思维和中国的思维之间的不同吧。
西方很的东西规定的很细，那些人脑筋在咱们看起来很死，比较按规矩办事。
