LEAKED unheard MGS2 phrases...

No one knows about this i kept it a secret so only me and my friend (BOXMAN, winner of the kojiPro competition) have heard these phrases. i completed MGS2 alot of times and i never came across these phrases. I found this out a year ago and now i decided to leak it because TUS is the best MGS site ever.
Ok, in a codec conversation you all know about the thoughts you can hear of the charecters. I found some really cool and funny ones that have never came across in the game. I had to use a special program to rip the codec voices. Intrestingly it was Snake the one who said these weird and wonderful phrases.
Phrases such as " I am Feelin' kind of FUNKEHH"
"THE HERO OF THE GAME IS ME..."(Theres like 3 of these)
"LA-LI-LU-LE-LO"(Shouting)
"SHUT IT"
So now you wonder how do i hear them?
Unfortunately i am not going to post a download for it because its like 55mb but i will tell you how to hear them
You need a copy of [B]MGS2 Sons Of Liberty[/B], a DVD drive on your computer and the program [B]MFAudio 1.1[/B] (Found here http://www.zophar.net/utilities/ps2util.html) and windows media player.
run the program MFAUDIO and insert the disc of MGS2:SOL in to your DVD drive. On the right hand side of the program there should be an open option there, click it and find the SOL disc, inside it open the MGS2 folder and then the file VOX.DAT, Change the bottom option to a WAV file and then click on the save as option, and save it anywhere you want and then process it.
You will realize that the sound quality is crap, but its the best i could do. If anyone knows how to decode it into a way that we can hear clearly then please tell us.
This was tried using the[B] PAL version[/B] of the game [U]im not sure about the NTSC version[/U]. The VOX.DAT file appears to be the one with the codec thought voices, not the CODEC.DAT file. ALSO, be careful opening the other .DAT files you might ruin your hearing |
