不久前,美国制片人工会将小岛秀夫选入
数字娱乐领域最具创新意识的50位制作人之一。
The Producers' Guild of America (PGA) has once again selected their 50 most innovative producers in the field of Digital Entertainment, this time published in the Hollywood Reporter on October 19th. The list of 50 producers and creators covers fields of animation, broadband, DVD, games, ITV, mobile and visual effects.
From the game field this time, the PGA has picked Will Wright, creator of The Sims, at number 5, Hideo Kojima, father of the Metal Gear Solid series, at number 38, and Tetsuya Mizuguchi, creator of Rez and Lumines and founder of Q Entertainment, at number 50. Professor Ryuta Kawashima, the brain behind Nintendo's Brain Age product, also made the list at number 16. Famous names outside the game industry include Dennis Muren (#20) for his visual effects work on Star Wars, Google's Larry Page and Sergei Brin (#9), and YouTube's Chad Hurley and Chris Chen (#23).
Upon being selected as one of the PGA's Digital 50, Kojima had this to say:
I was surprised and extremely honored to be chosen for this distinction among such famous Hollywood creators as Dennis Muren (multiple recipient of the Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects), Phil Tippet (multiple recipient of the Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects), and John Dykstra (recipient of the Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects and the Special Achievement Award). I hope to continue to use the magic known as the digital to create titles that live up to everyones' expectations, and offer dreams to people throughout the world.
