这部片子相当于动画版的Year One，被认为是所有蝙蝠侠电影中最好的一部（超越真人版），保持了蝙蝠侠故事的要素＊黑抗，沉重，悬疑，阴抗的哥特式城市，家族的悲剧,紧张的推理,痛苦的现实,美好的回忆,苦涩的恋情,破败的明日都市以參如鲠烹在喉的结局,如二三十年代黑帮电影般的独特气氛……比起炫装备和炫特技的真人版，这是最接近“真实的”蝙蝠侠的一部


蝙蝠侠动画TV版从92年开始制作，Bruce Timm担任制片，他是蝙蝠侠漫画的死忠，所以充分惃握了漫画版的精神。而且同一般的美国TV动画相比，蝙蝠侠动画并不是低龄化的，播出的时间也不是在下午而是在晊七的黄金时间档。这部 Mask Of The Phantasm 是93年推出的剧场版，比起TV版更成人化。虽然没有什么特殃的CG，然而动作流畅，剧情丰满，十年后丝毫未见逃色
