Star Wars inspired 5-year-old Stephen Hayford to embrace his creativity in 1977. Kenner action figures then transformed and cultivated his love of storytelling through roleplay. While Stephen's passion and visual creativity eventually led him into a career of photojournalism, his love of toys never vanished. Stephen began using his documentary sensibilities to photograph action figures in custom-made dioramas during the late 1990's. The work began as a cathartic exercise -- it's now become the focus of his fine art.
