After contacting both Gamestop and Software Etc, both stores confirmed to me that \"according to their information\" the Metal Gear Solid 3 demo is to be shipped today to their stores. Both stores stated that their shipments when shipped on a Friday do not arrive until that following Monday at the earliest. At this time they confirmed to me that the demo will be given on a first come first serve basis when you reserve the actual game due out this Novmeber.

While it seems a mystery to me why Konami would release such a demo with little to no warning, I will be waiting at the door come Monday morning, bright and early to see if this demo indeed surfaces.
