< ><FONT color=#000000>The highly respected video games website, gamesindustry.biz has posted some information concerning Konami’s intentions to create Metal Gear Solid 4. The news article also confirms that initial work is already underway on the title. No information was given however on what system the game would be appearing on – though it is widely believed to be for PlayStation 3 – or what part (if any) Kojima will play in its creation.
As ever we will let you know when we get any more titbits on the Snake Eater sequel. </FONT></P>

< ><FONT color=#000000>Konami is planning to create a fourth </FONT><a href=\"http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=57145#\" target=\"_blank\" ><FONT color=#000000>Metal Gear Solid</FONT></A><FONT color=#000000> game, Motoyuki Yoshioka, head of Konami JPN, confirmed this week as the publisher reported its financial results for the first half of FY2005.</FONT></P>
< ><FONT color=#000000>\"As for </FONT><a href=\"http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=57145#\" target=\"_blank\" ><FONT color=#000000>Metal Gear</FONT></A><FONT color=#000000> Solid 4, well again, we have some ideas, we\\'ve had some ideas for sometime now, so we\\'ll continue to create more titles in the series,\" he said, after telling investors that Konami wanted to ship more copies of the latest instalment - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - than it did for 2001\\'s Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000>News of Konami\\'s intention to develop another MGS title will hopefully lay to rest fears among fans that Snake Eater could be our last engagement with Solid Snake - prompted by a line in the Tokyo Game Show trailer for MGS3 which called it the \"Final Episode of the Metal Gear Solid Trilogy\".</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000>What form it will take however is another question entirely - and one that we probably won\\'t hear the answer to until series creator Hideo Kojima works it out himself.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000>Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is due out in the US next Wednesday, November 17th, on </FONT><a href=\"http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=57145#\" target=\"_blank\" ><FONT color=#000000>PlayStation 2</FONT></A><FONT color=#000000>, with a Japanese release lined up for December 16th and a European release expected to follow in early 2005.</FONT></P></DIV>
