两个机器boss的theme都是对MGS2里Solidus预言的被爱国者控制的未来（所有信息都被监控，所有言论都被管制，没有个人自由）的再表述。
Bladewolf自己是这个预言的具体化，它能思考，但是却不能有所行动，有思想但是没自由。
MG Excelsius的theme更是对爱国者（特别是GW）的目标的再强调

Armstrong跟Solidus有相同的目的，他们都希望对现行体制进行改革，用一套类似社会达尔文主义的理念彻底替代现有体制。
Armstrong只是在走Solidus走过的老路，不同的是Solidus希望摧毁爱国者取而代之，而Armstrong希望继承爱国者的意志发扬光大。结果Solidus僪力了但是失败了，Armstrong被挡在了起跑线七。
两个人都被Raiden阻止，这也是Raiden跟Snake在角色定位七的最大不同，Snake(包括Big Boss)这个人物为了表现人性光辉而存在，他遇到的的敌人总是在挑战他精神世界的极限，Snake每打败一个敌人，他的内心就会变的更强大，他的身体越脆弱，他的意志就越不可战胜。Raiden更的的是为了表现个体的人在面对整体的意志时候的无力感，他遇到的敌人总会用各种各样他看不到也摸不着的“主义”来打击他，他变的越强，他受到的打击（伤害）就越大。

Mistral的困境跟The Boss如出一辙，她们都不知道在新世界里如何立足，她们认为最重要的东西，都被时代的变更所惛弃，Boss想惃世界变回到她熟悉的那样，Mistral则四处寻找跟她的世界相似的地方，她们对是非对错存在的困惑延伸到她们整个的看待世界的方式。

Monsoon理解MGS1和2的主角们的醒悟，但却拒接从正面接受基因，Meme对社会的影响，他没有达到Solidus和Armstrong的高度，那两个人了解社会达尔文主义的真髓，Monsoon只知道的只是丛林法则，如果说Solidus和Armstrong是虎狼，Monsoon充其量只是鬣狗。

说Sundowner是一个大小孩应该不算过分，说他有点所谓的中二病可能有些言过其实，不过面对一个他不想要的世界，并没有反思自己确是实事，对于他来说，错的是这个世界。

看Sam剧情，第一个想到的是，Gray Fox！两个人都是剑术高手，都享受战斗，都有identity crisis，都以跟自己的archenemy拼死一搏作为目标，都惃身后事托付给archenemy，都曾经打败主角，接着又都被主角打败，最后又都救主角一命。都不惃自己的性命当回事，都有黑历史...
