Did it ever occur to you that you are seeing two (maybe more) different people that just look similar in the trailer? The thing that might have thrown you off of course is that they each wear a different costume. Now, Kojima mentioned that you can get new costumes throughout the game (you may even be able to download new ones) but that doesn\'t mean you are seeing in the trailer the same person in a different outfit.
<P>And about the \'missing eye\' thing. Well, this character is only missing the eye in the parts of the trailer where he is topless. In the other parts of the trailer, both eyes are intact. What you may have thought is that we were seeing the same person, but maybe he looses his eye as you play through the game? Not necessarily...

Compared to MGS2, there IS no comparison, compared to MGS1, I think we have another classic on our hands. ... there are 2 solid snakes. on thats an exact clone of big boss, and the true solid snake. in the third installment, i think you change in between the two. theres the one with his eye missing, and one with his shirt on. at the end of the game, you will have to duke it out with the perfect big boss clone. thats not the end of my proof. remember back to the original metal gear solid game, when you beat sniper, and she asks snake if he\'s saladin. but he doesn\'t answer. thats because he IS saladin. also, in mgs2 at the end of the tanker incident, liquid/ocelot sais "theres only room for one snake, and one big boss" liquid didn\'t know there was another clone, but ocelot did. liquid thought there were only himself and solid from the les enfants terribles. but ocelot knew more, and ocelot know there was the dead big boss, and the clone of big boss.
