但我看meryl是外表坚强，内心脆弱……
螳螂已经读出snake在她心中占有很重要的位置，
但当她想跟snake表白心迹时，却在他淡然的冷漠前知趣的退却了＊
M: Snake, can I ask you something?
S: What!?
M: About what Mantis said...I was just wondering...
S: What? What\'s the problem now?
M: Oh no...nothing. So tell me Snake. What\'s your name? Your real name?
S: Name means nothing on the battlefield.
M: How old are you?
S: Old enough to know what death looks like...

然而没过的久，在被Sniper Wolf伏击后，
她却一心想要牺牲自己，以免Snake中了敌人的圈套，
不想自己成为他的累赘，只是想尽一切可能不连累他，
甊至想要开枪自杀＊
M: Snake...leave me and run...
S: Meryl...
M: I guess...I am a rookie after all...
S: Don\'t worry, Meryl. It\'s me they want.
M: Even I know that. It\'s the oldest trick in the book...The sniper\'s using me for bait to lure you out.
S: Damn!!
M: Shoot me, Snake!!
S: No!
M: My gun...
M: ...I can\'t reach it by myself...
S: Don\'t move.
M: I promised...
M: ...I wouldn\'t slow you down! I...
M: I...I...I can still help.
M: ...I want to help you!
S: Quiet down. Save your strength!
M: I was a fool. I wanted to be a soldier...But war is ugly...There\'s nothing glamorous about it. Snake, please! Save yourself! Go on living and don\'t give up on people! Don\'t forget me...Now get out of here...!
